Ingredients: Makes 8 cups
2 or 3 cups to Brussels sprouts cut in half or in quarter according to size
1/4 tsp. of black pepper
2 tsp. of salt or to taste
6 cups of filtered or distilled water, more if needed
3 cups of split peas
1/2 cup of celery 2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbs. of lemon juice or to taste

Add water and the split peas to the soup pot and boil for an hour or till the peas are soft. Cut up the Brussels sprouts and add to the soup pot, now add the balance of the ingredients. Let simmer for 10 mins.
Taste your soup … if it’s to salty, add lemon and if it’s to lemony add salt. Balance the flavour to your taste.
