Got a Cough? This remedy is better than cough syrup, really!

Baking Soda Cough Remedy

I don’t know about you, but when I get a cough. I’m in for a bad ride of no sleep and frustration.  It’s that season again and I’ve gotten a cold and now I’m left with a crazy cough. I’m dreading night time as that is the worst time. I’m sure you’ve been there too. Soooo … I armed my self with all the strongest cough syrups on the market and start medication till I drug my self to sleep. Waking up lots to cough, tired, crazed and frustrated.
Well yesterday my massage therapist Monica said she gargles with Baking soda for her cough. So I tried that just before watching a movie, all the while believing nothing would help. Well to my wonderful surprise, I didn’t cough through the whole movie.  Then I gargled again before I went to bed. I fell asleep and stayed asleep most of the night. My cough was reduced at least to ¼ of what it was and I didn’t feel drugged up either, like I do with the cough meds. Not to mention all the negative side effects of the cough syrup.


Ingredients:
½ tsp natural baking soda (no aluminum or anticaking agents)
½ glass of filtered or distilled water

Directions:
Mix together in a water glass and stir. Gargle for as long as you can manage. Spit into the sink. Repeat when needed.
